Our New House

We made a big decision in the last month or so to sell our house and move a little bit North. We thought it would take a while to sell ours because of all the bad news about the housing market but, two weeks later, we had a contract. Joel and I fell in love with this house in Windrose. We are closing on it April 16th.

Easter and our Church Family

Every Easter, we spend the day at Kent and Carla Grebing's house. The Parikh and Mull families are also part of this tradition. Even with the arrival of thier grandson, Jack, they treat our children as their own. We don't have family of our own living close to us and they are so gracious to open their home and hearts to us. They are our family... our Trinity family.

This is Kent, Carla, daughter Alison Funke, and Grandson Jack.

When we all first arrived, the older babies took a little time to get to know each other again.

It wasn't long before they seemed like old friends.

Sweet, silly Sara. She takes after her Dad!

Joel brought Jacob's motorcycle and bicycle for the boys to play on after dinner.

Isaac is a natural on that bike.

Caleb, too.

There is even room for somebody to ride on the back!

A Little Girl and Her Daddy

Sara and Joel look as though they are deep in conversation.

Or maybe, she just told him the punchline of a very funny joke.

Sara and Sam sat outside, "sharing" some Easter toys. First, he had the football egg...

a few minutes later, he "shared" with his fuzzy-haired friend. Sam doesn't seem very pleased, though.

Hailey Mull soon joined in on the fun.

And finally, Jack Funke is the last to arrive. In the last year, our Easter get-together has grown by four!

The Moms

Near the end of our day, all of us girls decided to have our photo taken. We are usually the ones behind the camera.

March 22, 2008

The Saturday before Easter, Trinity had an Easter egg hunt for the kids. What a blast! Everyone had so much fun.

Sara chilled in her stroller while her big brother hunted down the eggs. I think she took notes on how to find all those candy filled treasures.

After egg hunting, there were many crafts and some face painting. Jacob spent the rest of the day as a cat.
I love this picture. Jacob looks so sweet and is having genuine fun with his friends. My little boy is growing up before my eyes and way too fast for me!
