Reformation Day/ Halloween
October 31st is a double holiday for us. We start the night celebrating Reformation Day with what has become our multiple family traditional dinner. We all gather at the Grebing's for peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and chili. Sounds crazy but it tastes really good! After dinner, the costumes go on and we all go trick-or-treating.

Trinity's Family Fun Night
On October 25, Trinity had a family fun night. We had a ball eating pizza, getting our family picture made, and creating a frame for it. Many of our friends were there to play and catch up with.

15 Weeks
At fifteen weeks, Sara is blossoming into a sweet little girl. Here are some of my favorite pictures of late.
All smiley in one of her cutest dresses.
She already feels that her brother is the most interesting person she knows and loves to watch him to see what will happen next.
The feet have been found.

Sunday Priorities
On one of the rare Sundays when Joel is not working, we all do our best to play and rest. It is also our family day.
Sara and Joel catch some zzzs on the big bed.
Joel and Jacob try out the new outdoor lounger late in the afternoon.
It is as comfortable as it looks.

Samuel Parikh's Baptism
Rupesh and Rachel's new baby boy, Samuel, was baptized Sunday, Aug. 26. Joel and I were honored to be two of his Godparents.
Here is the proud family: Rupesh, holding big brother Isaac, Rachel, holding Samuel, and Grandparents, Pastor and Mrs. Ernst.
After lunch at their house, I finally got to hold my Godchild.Friday, August 24, 2007
A Red Schwinn!
Joel and Jacob ran up to Performance to pick up a few things and came home with a new bicycle. When they got home, on went the helmet and off they went down the street. They went all the way to Dave and Donna Mueller's house, visited for a while, and came home right before dark. Jacob even had his first wreck but came away unscathed. My baby boy is growing up fast!
It even has a water bottle up front for when he gets thirsty after all that riding!

First Day of Preschool at Trinity!
Today, August 22, is Jacob's first day of school. Last year he went to Mother's Day Out at Trinity but this year is different. He had to get up early, brush his teeth, gel his hair, and eat breakfast before class starts at 8:00. His teacher, Mrs. Glynn, is going to be so much fun!
Joel and I dropped him off and as soon as his friends showed up, all shyness was gone. Jacob and Caleb were very excited to see each other. They haven't been in class together for over a year.

My Very Silly Family
My family thrives on laughter! Joel made a point to say how wonderful it is that our house is filled with giggles and all out belly laughs. It won't be too long until Sara starts joining in! Next time you see Jacob ask him to tell you his favorite "Knock Knock" joke (Paul and Kathy, you've already heard it).

8 1/2 Weeks
These photos were taken while Sara played on our bed.
She is really starting to smile a lot.
We just love seeing those sweet smiles!
