Good Friends

Tonight, we had our good friends, The Mulls, over for dinner. They are moving in six weeks to St. Louis so any time we can get together is precious. Jacob and Caleb are as close as two boys can be without actually being related although they certainly can fight like brothers. This night, though, they truly enjoyed just about every minute together. Do they know, really, what is soon to come? I won't tell them. The sadness will come soon enough.

First Haircut

Sara got her first haircut on her birthday. Although, she doesn't look like she needs one, she was getting shaggy.

Sara's First Birthday

Sara turned one on June 11. Where did the time go?

She had her own little birthday cake with a butterfly. I really expected her to dig in and make a big mess but, no, she acted like a little lady. She barely touched it then looked at me as if to say "what's next".

While opening presents, Sara enjoyed ripping the paper.

Her big present from us was this little wagon. We spent the last part of the night riding around the cul-de-sac. It was a good birthday.

Broken

So sad, Jacob broke his arm climbing over a baby gate.

He wanted a watch and his name drawn on it.

He wanted the time to be 8:30. Either circle time (in the AM) or bedtime!

Our New House

We made a big decision in the last month or so to sell our house and move a little bit North. We thought it would take a while to sell ours because of all the bad news about the housing market but, two weeks later, we had a contract. Joel and I fell in love with this house in Windrose. We are closing on it April 16th.
